I haven't been monitoring them for awhile but now I can't seem to hear anything on the Duke Power trunking frequencies. I hear what sounds like a control channel and one or two of the others have a kind of digital buzz. Have they gone digital?

You may be hearing data bursts for mobile computers. I spoke with one of their crewmen back in the spring. He showed me their laptop setup and said they could fill out everything for their repair tickets and transmit to Response.

They are still using voice. They have changed some freqs here in SC. Need to check FCC files.
