You'll see their are two desk, The desk on the right side and everything on it(the smaller desk) was left to me from my best friend Jason Brooks that passed away about a year ago. He was a RR member, screen name "SpecialAgent". Everything on the other desk is mine, I run the Dunklin and Pemiscot county Missouri feed from the BCD996XT and the BC895XLT thats on that desk. The tower in the picture is 100 foot antennas have been added since this was taken. Main antenna on top is a Diamond D130J Super Discone. Everything is powered by a Pyramid PS-52KX power supply with a PWRgate PG40s transfer switch which also keeps the two 115ahr batteries charged.

Rest in peace my friend, 73's

Power Supply

What make/model is the power supply on the top shelf? Not the smaller gray one, but the power supply with the terminals and red/green lights (below the gray power supply)?

Your install is superb! Enjoyed the photos immensely!

AWESOME Setup.

How are the batteries connected and what are the boxes that are connected to the batteries?

That is a Micronta, picked that up at a yard sale for $2.00 one day. It works good it's just not big enough really to do anything with,it's only a 1.5 amp

Boxes that are connected to the batteries, Those are fuse boxes, 150amp fuse between the two batteries then the boxes that are mounted on the side, those are 30amp fuses on the positive and negative lines

I see you have the radar pulled up. Living in MEMPHIS and always hearing the warnings for that area I can understand why. Y'all always get hit hard. Do you get MEMPHIS tv there ?

kpoe_28: What a great shack....neat, clean and organized. That tower's pretty impressive, too!

I had planned to ask about the lightbar and beacons that you have all over the place...then I found the link to the video....and my questions were answered right then and there. You can't be sitting in the shack for hours and hours with that light show going unless your wearing a welder's mask, right??

Again, thanks for sharing! Condolences on the loss of your best friend, Jason Brooks.

My friend Jason had all of the lights, myself I wasn't going to hook them up,was planning on just boxing them up and putting them away but I got three kids..5 year old boy, 10 year old girl and a 16 year old boy. They wanted to see them work so I went ahead and got it all going and they just love to watch them work.

I want to thank everyone for all of great comments, it's a great hobby and my 16 year old is starting to show some interest in it and i enjoy sharing the hobby with him.

Wow! That big, with all those "features," you'd think it was a 35 or 50 amp supply. Guess in the day back when, it was really something!
