Forgive me if this is the wrong forum. This is to regards to Oneida County, NY. There is the "original" BrandMeister DMR Network, to which is up to date. Why have the Database Admins created "UpstateTRBO"? both systems have the same repeaters and talk groups. Upstate TRBO is really misleading considering, its not composed of strictly MotorolaTRBO infrastructure.
IMHO: the Brandmeister DMR network should be considered a countrywide, or World Wide System. Issues with that, its constantly changing, and growing. Almost impossible to keep up with that many updates and changes on a daily basis.
But to get back on topic, why 2 systems?

The second network should be UpstateNY, not UpstateTRBO.

Different groups of repeaters are affiliated with different networks via different c-bridges. So far, there are DMR-MARC, BrandMeister, UpstateNY, BronxTRBO, Tri-State, and CanTRBO that I have seen covering parts of upstate NY.

Yes, I could see if it were different repeaters, but it the way the Database is written now, it shows, for the most part, the same repeaters for both systems. Doesn't matter if it is Bridged in, or directly connected, its still apart of the Brandmeister system. If you look at the Last Heard, CNY repeaters show up there as a repeater, or a c-bridge.

Someone needs to reexamine the repeater affiliations. The system operators are the ones who designate which network their machine is "part of".
