Keep an eye on this system: Connecticut Land Mobile Radio Network (CLMRN) Trunking System, Statewide, Connecticut - Scanner Frequencies

It does look like Durham fire is on the trunked system now going by the link I provided.

You should be posting this question in the CT forum. Nobody in CT is going to see it here.

I'm in Middletown and haven't heard Durham on the CLMRN system - yet.

I've heard Durham EMS on talk group 13802. I'd have to go through my recordings to check for activity on their fire TG. For what is worth, this past weekend there was a bunch of encrypted traffic on TG 13805.

Regarding Durham...perhaps one of the DB admin can answer this. Why are the KB1MMR ham repeaters tagged as Emergency Ops and not Ham? It rather messes up the programming when I download through Sentinel.

Well that is disappointing.

Those were in the DB before I started doing editing on the CT DB. Submit a ticket on those, and I'll change them when I do my next edits.

I believe they were originally tagged that since they are on the statewide Region 2 ARES Net and also utilized locally for emergency operations in Durham. The repeaters are open for all Hams to use on a normal basis.

Thanks Izzy I saw that Mike made the change. I imagine those in the area will understand, I was surprised to hear them as my rotor is shot and the beams are pointed North and I'm in New Hartford

No problem. I'm located in the south-eastern section of the Naugatuck Valley not far from New Haven. On a good day I can occasionally pick those frequencies up on my base rig but I cannot hit them as West Rock is in my way, plus I'm kinda in "a ditch".
