You can bet I will be figuring out the exact freqs being used on set. Especially since "The Dog House" is right next door to my workplace.
Maybe I will wander over and see if they need any "Cute IT/Radio Geeks" as extras.
Then again, there is a reason why I have a face for radio.

Marshall,

I'd look at the media freqs first.

When the pruduction crew of Navy Seals was in Norfolk (and neighboring cities), I was working as circulation department dispatcher at the local newspapers here. The crews were on BOTH our freqs 173.325 and 173.375 simplex. The department heads were angry that they set up shop on our channels because the crews made our use of the channels nearly unusable. They were apparently using CTCSS; they couldn't hear us. I found that the crews have nationwide use of all four media freqs in the 172-174 band (the others are 172.325 and 173.375)

Thanks for the tips Steve!
I should be able to put my close call feature on my radios to go use.

much of what we have found in New England for the many movies set in Boston have not been in the VHF , but have been UHF.

The last VHF I can recall was back in the Spenser for Hire Days and Rescue 911 filmings.

Try the Burger King Pairs [457 / 467] and search 460.7 - 470, and do expect to find what folks consider inputs to be used Simplex [465-470]

Here is a good link for some Starters
