I will confirm that the Town of Durham operates both Fire and EMS on UHF 24/7. Both systems int he Town of Durham are repeaterized and have a good foot print of Middlesex County. The Town of Middlefield is Cross Patching 45.88 into a UHF Repeater. I am not sure the characteristics of the UHF side but it works fairly well in their Town.
