Durham PD Reprogramming

Has anyone else heard discussions on some reprogramming going on with the Durham PD? Last week there was a huge push for any unit with a "new radio" to get in for reprogramming, and any new portables to be brought in for "5 minutes". Sounded like they may be doing some work on thier talkgroups, but couldn't be sure.

Yesterday I heard one of the District 4 officers tell another to go to "PD Tac 4" When asked to explain they asked if they had thier radio reprogrammed as it was only available on those. When the answer was no, they asked for a phone call instead.

Has anyone else heard this going on? And better yet, has anyone had an indication on what the new TG's may be?

He absolutely does!

And after plugging these into the 996XT, already picking up traffic. Explains the big push for all of the new radios and portables. Haven't really payed attention, but sounding like they are using it to coordinate some of their special units.
