Can someone verify the NAC and Site ID for the Duval County/Jacksonville Trunked System? Link - Jacksonville City - First Coast Radio Trunking System, Jacksonville, Florida

I was down a few weeks ago and the system wouldn't work on my Harris 7300M. My guess is the NAC or Site ID listed in the database is incorrect. I am returning this weekend and would like to monitor while pass through. Of the 11 counties I have programmed in my radio, Duval is the only one that didn't work.

I do not have the NAC, but they have a duplicate identical single site to the main simulcast that they use as a backup from time to time. Its site 1-2. I know they ran it for awhile when they did an upgrade. Other than watching the control channel (and less coverage) to see what site ID is being broadcast, there is no other way to tell.

Thinking this through, if you switch to Enhanced CC mode, you wouldnt have to specify the NAC, RFSS ID or site ID. Of course the only catch is if you get close enough to the port to pick up their site, but you could always set that site (1-3) to 'never' in the Prefered Sys Table. You could also specify 1-2 and 1-1 as preferred, but I am not sure that would make much additional difference after setting the port site to never.

I'll set it to Enhanced before leaving tonight. I'm also going to bring my SDS100 so I can get the NAC and Site ID. I'm guessing the Database is wrong. I appreciate your reply.

Site 1 is now Back Up System. Site 2 is now Main System, but they can change that at anytime. Site 3 is Port System. If you are using NON Affiliate on your radio (Not sure if you need a radio Id for NAS .) I will warn you I run Unitrunker on the system and I see radios polled multiple times a day by the system. So if you need an ID to scan you need to becareful are you may get bricked. NAC is 3BA

Thanks for the info. No worry about any type of affiliation from a Harris radio.

Might want to update the site number of that's the primary site now. Someone programming a Harris needs to know the site # if they are not using enhanced control channel

Everything worked great on my trip through Duval County this weekend. Was able to go around an accident on 95 because I heard the dispatch. Thanks for the help getting this updated information into the Database. Thanks Y'all.
