Hi guys

I own a dv1 and some dmr frequencies I come across are just silent with no colour code info also

does this mean they are encrypted?

ive heard other dmr frequencies on the dv1 which actually sound encrypted but colour code is visible

is this my mistake as a user or the way the dv1 delivers encrypted dmr traffic of different kinds ?

thanks

Are you getting any response from the radio at all when the frequencies are active? Usually with an encrypted DMR transmission you'll hear garbled audio (some refer to it as R2D2 type audio) but the radio should be able to determine the color code. How do you know the frequencies are in use?

it has nothing todo with encryption, the dv1/10 don’t check this. If they did parse this part of the data it would be a small step to also show talkgroups etc

The frequencies this happen on are in use with on and off carriers and can be heard in analoge mode , but when put into auto detect mode it detects signals as dmr but the receiver is completely silent ,

Not sure what your explaining my friend ?

Some encrypted dmr I hear sounds encrypted on the dv1 but shows colour code but some dmr on the dv1 is just silent and no colour info is displayed

Sorry i I wasn’t clear. The stuff you experience has no relation to encryption. It has to be something else

Sorry can’t do a video but very simply it sees a dmr signal and from hearing undecoded dmr it goes silent and nothing is heard

This is on a lot of dmr stuff I recieve

Other dmr is decoded and sounds fine and other dmr sounds encrypted

Just wondered what it was doing
