DV5 Mini Stick Problems

I was wondering if any could help me out. I did a firmware upgrade on my DV4 mini UHF stick today to 1.77. Once it was done, my laptop does not recognize the USB device. The computer does not even make a noise when you put it in or take it out of the usb socket. I did some research to possibly fix the problem but the DV4 website is no longer on line. It would be the .ch website. Is there something I am missing to get the computer see the device. The stick has a constant green light when the stick is plugged in.

I'm not sure what your reference to ".ch website" is about.
