This is a great article by noted Latin American DXer Don Moore on doing DXPeditions using SDRs. It may give you some ideas for your own....

One comment on this is that Don has used the Wellbrook AL100N that allows you to essentially design your own loop element. W6LVP has something that's similar, and may be cheaper than ordering something from the UK

As a coincidence, I have a trip to the North Shore of Oahu in a week and am packing my W6LVP experimenters loop and an SDRplay RSP2pro SDR. I hope to have time to play with the setup and I have no clue what hotel I'll be in yet.

My travel feedline is about 30ft of LMR100 with 10 turns of coax around a #31 mix ferrite near the antenna end. I made a lightweight PVC pipe stand for the loop that snaps together and the loop is about 3ft dia of #14 wire that folds up real small.

In a few months I'm supposed to be in Columbia and will take the same setup, so that should qualify as a Latin American DXPedition.
