I’m only hearing the fire/ems traffic and not scanning air, but they’ve got a plane reporting no rear gear, currently circling burning off fuel.

Callsign is HAVOC 12, which is a 317th air lift plane.

Fire and ems are staging.

I’ll probably be out of range before it’s resolved, but maybe someone in the area can update.

It's a C-130. Hopefully they'll dust it off and have it flying by Saturday.

When I was in the USCG, they had one throw a blade and rip the side of the fuselage out. They landed it on a dirt strip on one of the Aleutian Islands and flew out parts and tools on another one. They fixed it there in the dirt and flew it home a few weeks later.

Tough birds.

If I remember correctly, they can do a manual extension of the gear if it's just a hydraulic issue. At least I think we could on E-models.
