EAGLE COUNTY - The sheriff's office says an unpaid bill led to a high-speed chase Saturday.

The Eagle County Sheriff's Office says a deputy tried to pull over 38-year-old Paul Fenton of Castle Rock after someone at the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera called, saying Fenton hadn't paid his bill. The deputy recognized Fenton's vehicle. The sheriff's office says Fenton did not stop, and instead headed first down Squaw Creek, then Highway 6 and finally Interstate 70, where he was going more than 140 mph. Fenton ran more than 30 vehicles off the road before the Vail Police Department was able to deflate two of his tires using "tack mats."
