This is the Ear Jack for the PRO 106, tinny yes but I'm going to attempt to replace it my self. I took my 106 apart to see what it looks like in side & NOT to bad, we'll see.

Ear Jack

AMAZING !! What you find when you take a 106 apart the 2nd time, I found out that the tap arm that is in side of the ear jack was bent out so it would not touch the 3.5mm insert. So I pushed it back in & re-tried the ear jack, & it worked perfect . Now I have an xtra part for a spare. So be for you send in your scanner , check it out first.

Not a chance of that happening, I got 2 106, had both apart. Got 3 analog's, replaced parts on them also.
Not an expert but I get by.

how to fix a ear jack / 106

In this picture you see a ear jack for a PRO 106, to fix it to make it work when you plug a 3.5 mm plug,
this is what you do.
# 1 take the back casing off the radio ( remove the 4 screws that hold in on )
# 2 turn the radio up side down & look where the ear jack is.
# 3 take a paper clip & open one end of it & use it to PUSH that copper arm back in the hole some, NOT to far.
# 4 if you need to LOOK at the picture of the ear jack that is attached.
# 5 reassemble the back, & retry the ear jack, it should work.
