Some years ago, the Santiago repeater was connected to a seismograph that output a 'warble' tone when shaking was detected. The wider the tone swing, the bigger the shaking was. Not sure if this is still operational, but it was pretty cool to hear it go off.

Pretty cool, but at the same time pretty ominous I would think!

Any one know what this might be? Data maybe, or ???
The "old" earthquake "net" was on 163.795 MHz. I still had it in an old [Pro-43] scanner. Was fun to listen to occasionally when a swarm would hit east county or out by the Salton Sea. Came in at about an S-6. here in San Diego County. Now all I hear is dead air...
