when I was in NC I experienced my first Earthquake and it was definitely a weird feeling. Was a 3.2 on the scale. Strangest thing is I could actually hear it moving away from the area, sounded like one long rumble! Could see how it could be mistaken for an explosion.

Earthquake indeed

Perhaps reporting an Earthquake in California is a little bit like reporting snow in Colorado or a tornado in Kansas, but I found it interesting that you had an EQ in OK just after one here:
Magnitude 3.7 Quake Rattles Bay Area

AP) SAN FRANCISCO Bay Area residents were a little shaken up -- literally -- this evening by a small earthquake.

The temblor had a magnitude of 3.7 and struck just east of Berkeley, according to the US Geological Survey.

Authorities say there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The temblor occurred on the Hayward Fault, which geologists believe is due for a large quake in the next 30 years.

A magnitude-6.9 quake struck on the Hayward Fault in 1868, killing five people. Severe quakes have happened on the Hayward Fault every 151 years -- give or take 23 years -- meaning it is now into the danger zone.
