On the afternoon of Monday, May 10, 2010 Station 49 in conjunction with Station 48, Station 33 Ambulance, and Medic 93 were dispatched to a tractor trailer accident.
The accident occurred at Rt. 282 and Springton Road.
Assistant 48 arrived on location and determined the tanker truck was over turned and carrying municipal waste. The tank was intact however the saddle tanks were leaking.
Oil Dry was applied and EMS personnel attended to the driver of the truck.
Command was turned over to Chief 49, and Station 48 and 49 remained on scene until the tanker was off-loaded and up righted.
While on-scene a second call was dispatched for an unconscious person, in conjunction with 46 Ambulance and Medic 93. The call was handled be QRS Captain Piersol and our newest EMT Orobosa Enagbare
