I know they were testing paging on EMA channel for the last few weeks but can anyone confirm what frequency and PL, if applicable, they are using for Fire and/or EMS paging throughout?
Paging is on EMA channel (154.055) for fire and EMS is on 151.355 per SOP but tones will continue on 156.015 for several months till everything gets worked out. PL wise 351DPL is listed as is 141.3 but I believe you'll find them csq on transmit and if it's like p1 and f1 was the input tone is 100.0

Your issue is probably simulcast distortion if the system is using more than one tower. If it is a single tower then your issue may be P25 sensitivity or your scanner is being overloaded being too close to the tower. You'll have to adjust your scanner P25 threshold and squelch and see how that helps with interference or clearing the signals up. What scanner are you using?
ECEN is using a simulcast cell with I believe 5 towers so my bet is on simulcast distortion. I had the same problems with my BCD536HP but when I tried my SDS200 it got alot better but I still have to mess with the settings to get it to 100%.

I can confirm the paging channel (154.055) is transmitting CSQ not 141.3 like it was when it was the EMA frequency.

I’m listening to the online feed. What is with the duplicate transmissions from County?

Is it the Calls feed or another stream? EC F1 and EC EMS 1 often carry the same dispatcher traffic. On Calls ingests, simultaneous transmissions don't block one another...everything is cached and replayed.

That is also fed out of SDRTrunk, so everything is recorded and replayed. You'll never miss anything, but that also includes when county talks on multiple talkgroups simultaneously.
Ah ok. It just sounds weird doing that. Hah

Agreed. I couldn't turn on deduplication for radio IDs until recently, since dispatchers were on the analog side (and didn't have radio IDs) until the cutover. Now I'm afraid to turn it on since there is a risk of losing transmissions if one of the duplicates is on a talkgroup that isn't included in the stream. (An unlikely – but not impossible – scenario.)

I plan on digging into the dedupe code in SDRTrunk at some point and see if I can make the radio ID dedupe a little better, so that there isn't the risk of losing transmissions. Once I feel that it can be trusted to not miss anything, I'll turn it on.

I’m def not complaining. It sounds beautiful. Glad to see someone took the initiative.

Any chance you have the CC Tables available and verify the CCs for me?

That correct the others frequencies that where licensed to Columbia county are still used
I can’t answer that. I know all law/fire/EMS switched to the new system so any old analog channels are probably still licensed until their license expires but aren’t in use unless some type of backup. Only people who would be able to answer that would be either radio techs in Mont/Col or the director.

Not sure who jumped the gun there but there was an incident 2 days ago where Analog fire 2 was patched into Digital TG Fire 2 fire out of county interops so the "depreciated" status is NOT correct.
