I got a request to help someone with a thing. I am not where my programming laptop is. Does someone have an XTS5k codeplug that does non-affiliate for the current Knox / Roane system I could look at for a minute?

I believe for the most part they are P25 Phase II and many TG are dark. I know that doesn’t exactly help you, but they were very actively phasing out the XTS series last I heard. As far as I know the last to use XTS was some of the FD.

Surely someone with direct knowledge can comment, but if you dig deep on this forum you’ll likely find more answers. In short I think you’ll need something Phase II capable or you’ll be in the dust soon enough.

There are still many agencies using XTS/XTL radios, not just fire departments. New agencies joining the systems are all TDMA but many existing users are running FDMA.
