Do you mean the Eastern PA EMS Council (aka Medcom)? Those are the counties covered by this organization.

If so, they use the UHF med channels and also have 155.340 DPL 664 established as a mass casualty incident on scene coordination channel within their area of responsibility.

Medcom also uses the PA-STARNet system on Dept of Health (DOH) talkgroups to talk with different hospitals. As another means of communication, Medcom also has a system they call "regional communication". I've not found anyone that can describe how this system works, yet. If somebody knows, please share. They describe it as an intercom system not using phone or radio.

True, MED 4 is the statewide calling frequency for EMS. Also, alot of HEAR systems are in place which are 155.280 and 155.340 as two of the most common HEAR Frequencies.

"Regional Comm" is a interconnect system linking the above counties plus some other angencies. It works by a micorwave shot system. Its more or less like a open intercomm system.

Microwave...that makes sense. Don't know why it didn't occur to me. Thanks
