On the database page on this site, which column do I program into my scanner? The Frequency or the Input column? Are these conventional channels? I am programming a RS PRO-96. Thanks for your help.

You'll most likely want the frequency column for programming conventional channels. The input column is just the frequency the radios use to talk to the repeater.

The trunked radio systems are another matter entirely. If you're in one of the counties that's gone to digital, you may want to take a look at http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=3508.

If it shows two frequencies, it most likely is a conventional system.

Sometimes, agencies may use the repeater input with a different pl tone as a "chat" channel. So if you have room in your scanner, you might consider putting them in.
