I haven't had anything weird like that either, but I did change my password back in May when they first started notifying folks. I actually learned of it first from a PC World e-mail update before Ebay started posting it on their site.

So Far Away....
Figured it out,
Got a misdirect virus
was easy to spot,,the trademark date was 2008 to 2012,,
and the warning had words misspelled..

Dont know how it got slipped in on me,but I did a full
reformat & upgrade from XP to win7...

I got the same phoney suspicious acct warning on paypal,

New passwords on both,

The odd thing was I was not signed into ebay,I stopped using it so I
logged out a while back..It was redirecting Ebay usa,and UK..

so I guess I was just putting the flag up in case any others got the
redirect.

Thanks for the double check guys!..Better safe than ID Thefted..

Sadly people fall for that scam,,I mean really, giving all your CC info?...

Thanks again,

I got bitten when eBay got hacked. As soon as I saw that they had been hacked, I changed my password. Too late. Since I also used the same password for my PayPal...my stupidity...I woke up to a $600 transaction on my PayPal account. After a few phone calls to eBay, my bank and my credit card company, it was rectified. Lesson learned...do NOT use the same password for those two sites.

i dropped Norton like a hot potato years ago.... Mem hog, host of false positives, numerous missed positives.

Bitdefender is where i am now... MUCH smaller memory footprint. havent had a single missed detection, even with external drives for diagnostics.

add Super-Antispyware Pro and MalwareBytes Pro.. untouchable locally, ABP for browser and no scripts browser....
