eBay Prices for SW and scanners

I've noticed that the prices are going up on old equipment and newer old equipment.

I know the supply and demand....

But even junky radio's are going for a premium latley.

Also I was looking on amazon last week, the price of a grundig G4000A shot up to 89.00 from 69.00.

I surf ebay just in case I see something unusual.

As us radio enthusiasts get older, I think we become nostalgic for the old equipment we used in our younger days and start searching on eBay for it … Not because it’s such great equipment by today’s standards, but because it represents “the good old days” when lots of things in our lives were exciting and new.

If you get two of these types bidding on the same item, it’s natural to see the price go higher.
