Ebay Unblocked PCR 1500

Who here owns one and do they work well in the 800 "blocked" ranges? I am considering purchasing one, but a lot of the trunked systems I listen to right now are in the 867mhz range (which requires me to purchase a Non-USA model). Going to use 3rd party trunking software with it..

I appreciate any thoughts.

Hi Andrew. My memory is a little fuzzy here but being a 2500 owner I had to research this a bit back then...

I believe that one drawback to the non-US model(s) is that you cannot use the UT-122 (P25 decoder card). This may be true only for the Japanese model. Call ICOM and double check. They were very helpful, but make sure you talk to an engineer or product manager.

Perhaps P25 is of no interest to you however...

Also, based on the thread above, I don't know if they ever got TrunkPro to work on trunktracking, since the unit natively doesn't do that. That would be another item to check.
