To program edacs and conventional into a bank together on a pro-97 can I set the bank and the cahnnels that are EDACS to EDACS and then then set the conventional channels to conventional? will the conventional channels work correctly even though the bank is set to EDACS? (I hope this makes sense) thanks.

Yes! You set the bank to EDACS and program those frequencies accordingly, then program your conventional frequencies selecting AM or FM as applicable. Works great...one of my best public service banks is done this way.
