Well, for now you will have to wait for GRE to make the firmware update available on their support website. I'm sure you will find out either here on the R/R forums or by checking GRE's website when it comes out. That's all I can tell you at this point.

I have no problem with I-calls on the PSR-500 on Denver PD's EDACS. Is this a known issue on some systems? This is the first I've heard of this "issue".

It is a known issue for some Edacs systems. The scanner will stop and display an ID, but no audio or just the last part of the transmission is heard. GRE is working on it and I' think they have found the problem. A fix should be available soon. Since yours seems to be working, are you seeing regular TG ID's or individual radio ID's ??

Hi all,
I listen to an EDACS sys. in florida. I created a private wild card and ran it in the same scanlist as the group wild card, and received almost no I-calls. Later, I assigned the I-call wild cards for every TRS that I monitor, to "Favorites" . When monitoring them from there, I receive more I-calls, and I hear both sides of the conversation. It appears that I am receiving individual radio ID's , as they look different from the Tgrp ID's I am use to seeing for I-Calls. The appear with letters and numbers , such as ( 5B6 , D42, or 2F3A ) as examples, instead of all numbers. I have no idea what the letters and numbers indicate. If anyone is able to relate a basic understanding of the characters, I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Ken

Those are ID's in HEX format. When you store one of those ID's go into PGM - EDIT - CURRENT and you should see on the ID : line the TGID showing now and scroll down to Tag:*PC: line and the HEX ID is showing there again. GRE is aware of this issue and is working on the problem.

Ok, thanks.
Was kind of dumb on my part. I guess I have always been accustomed to scanners with the default Group ID setting in decimal . Any way, I guess the only way to get any ID to User association , would be to listen enough to eventually make a connection. I have not , otherwise , found any type of cross reference of the ID's in either format. Thanks for the help. It is nice to know that GRE is working on possible improvements, when there are any issues.

Run and set Windows Calculator to Scientific in the View Menu.
Click Hex bullet and key in HEX value - then click Dec.
