Hi there. This should be in the Virginia forum. There has been quite a bit of talk of it there. In short, you can't monitor the digital TG's- because it's Pro-voice. There are only 2 analog TG's (that I know of). If the LCN was ID'd it might be possible to track those TG's, but the TG's are both patched to uhf channels, anyway (452.050 & 460.625).

Merry Christams!

Hey Todd: there is a Rockingham county in NC too, he may have been talking about that. They used to be on 46.46, the same as Albemarle Fire and you could hear them up here often.

I forgot about our "sister" county just south of the border. I ASSumed he meant Rockingham because of the new M/A-Com, but that might be the case.

The TRS seems o.k. except for some minor glitches and oh yeah, no scanner activity. But I'm not a fan of the digital audio. It seems too "crisp". I've never used a Motorola digital system to compare it to, though. Especially some female voices... I think it has to do w/ the pitch of one's voice.

I know what you mean about "crisp". FM always sounded soft and I miss that little background hiss sometimes. Do you monitor the Shenandoah Nat Park? What a huge improvement when they went P25, their audio sounds really good.

Happy New Year!

I do listen to SNP from time to time. I always thought they had a pretty good system before, based on what I received (although I hear they didn't like it), but it sounds better now. It's funny how digital audio makes a difference.
