System Notes


ALL PUBLIC SAFETY for the city of Biloxi are in Provoice Digital mode. Harrison County Sheriff also uses Provoice Digital mode.
Currently, many of the public safety agencies in the area are on Southerlinc, but will be transitioning to this new EDACS ProVoice system.

This system will be converting in the near future to an 3 Site Harris P25ip P25 Phase I system.

Correct, all of Biloxi is D, but a lot of the other agencies on this system are still A, including all other fire department traffic in the county (County Fire, Gulfport, Long Beach D'Iberville and Pass Christian)

Back to the original question. Again, you can’t do much on the receiving end to make a non-P25 simulcast system sound better. It’s all done at the site level.

I don't really see anything in the database there named Southerlinc. 🤷‍♂️

Nor do I, that's why I was asking the person who posted that exactly who was on there. I guess I should have asked what it was as well!

Well I saw in the system note for the Harrison County Public Safety system that many of the agencies were on Southerlinc but that system, if it's true, doesn't seem to be in the database. So I'm kind of confused about that.

Used to be iDEN, now they are LTE I believe (and still unmonitorable).
