EDACS Standard w/ESK

i got a question the EDACS Standard w/ESK system if im correct esk means to listen you must have the key that the system has programmed to listen to them?

Uniden BCD396T and BCD996T will track ESK, as long as version 3.01 firmware (or better) is installed. The Uniden BCD396XT, BCD996xt, and BCD346XT also have the ability to monitor analog talkgroups on an ESK enabled system.

okay so I'm assuming the BCD996XT will also? and another question =P I'm looking to purchase the 996xt and put a Discriminator tap on it to listen to a edacs system with esk thats using provoice and using the dsd program to decrypt the provoice will this all work even with the esk system? thanks a ton!

well i know you can't monitor provoice but using dsd you can decode it and listen with the tap mod =P hoping all this works getting opinions before i drop over 500 to monitor what i can now on my scanner

The ESK is one situation. The other is that most scanners will not stop on a ProVoice channel. Yes, there are a couple that can be instructed to stop on them, but I don't think that is what you are looking at.
