Is there a directory of some sort to tell you which system you need to use for eg. aircraft? I saw in the RR that for the police in trunked system for me was MOT, however i saw no indication for aircraft. Thanks

Aircraft will always be AM. It will usually tell under the coverage part in your manual what each band t is & the modes it will cover in that band . Trunking can be any mode you mentioned & in in most any band

There is NO system for aircraft - its conventional in am mode.
