One of the beauties of living near the water is being privy to some good tropospheric DX in the warmer months.
From my radio room here on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, I've been monitoring Edgecombe County Fire Dispatch on 154.160 with a PL of 131.8. When I found it in the RR database I was skeptical given how far inland the county is. But a short time later I was rewarded with a voice confirmation that it was in fact them.
Still hearing the signal as I type. Using a Uniden BC898T with a Comet GP15 antenna fed through a Stridsberg 4 port active multicoupler for this intercept.
