Of topic a bit but quick question. Are you still monitoring St. Albert and Strathcona in convential? Or did you figure out a way to track LTR Passport?

Yes still monitoring St. Albert and Strathcona convential way.
I did figured a way to track passport.
I swear Strathcona county created talkgroups just because they could, what a mess.
Still have not found a way to control the scanner monitoring passport LTR I will leave that up to the code monkeys out there.

I see Parkland County Tac 6 417.6625 Tone 91.5 is back on the air. Not sure if it is still on the Glory Hills. Tac 7 in Spruce Grove is also used regularly.

Parkland 5 was also referred to as Glory Hills 2. Perhaps they moved it to another location to expand coverage as EMS is no longer using it.

Sorry goofed on my previous post. TAC6 was always referred to as Glory Hills 2 when EMS was using it. Heard dispatch send fire to this channel a number of times to talk direct to EMS.

TAC5 I show as being an old repeater serving Drayton Valley area on 418.525.

418.4125/413.4125 was a link between TAC6 and the old Leduc County VHF repeaters for EMS. It is still listed in TAFL.

413.6625 is registered to CAPITAL REGION SOUTHWEST WATER SERVICES COMMISSION .

If they want to seperate out Fire traffic from Bylaw traffic, this could work. Are you finding different tones?

No I'll have to search during the 18:00 hrs test. I was wondering why Glory Hills has one tone (91.5) while all the rest have 85.4. Today I heard Spruce Grove bylaw talking to a fire unit to guide them to a scene. But I guess if the fireman don't want to be disturbed by bylaw they could do this.

Way back when Crown Ambulance was covering Leduc they had a dispatch and a quiet channel. They used the same repeater but different tones. When they did need to wake up a sleeping crew they used the quiet channel.

The difference in tones might have been because of TAC6 and TAC1 being at the same site.

That's a thought but I think they used the same tone on Smithfield for Tac 1 and 2. Wonder if they added a channel on Smithfiled facing east again to replace what they lost by moving Tac 1 to Glory Hills.

County of Parkland now testing channel 8 which is linked to Ch 1. It is a mobile repeater located under the passenger seat of one of their units. I am doing a search to try and find the frequency.

By doing a virtual license check (4957882) on Leduc you can see the channel slots for Parkland.
Channel 5 is a Vehicle repeater 407.2375 which could now be mounted somewhere. And channel 8 is also a vehicle repeater yet to be determined. I have often heard RCMP traffic being broadcast on Ch 5's vehicle repeater.

I'll continue to scan 418.525 the old Tomahawk repeater.

408.9375 is in Spruce Grove so could be channel 8 vehicle repeater. But when I heard it tested it was using a link with Ch 1 but it could be received well in Spruce Grove.
