Hey Folks, I don't usually take part in this part of the forum, but I came across something tonight that might be of interest to some folks.

After looking over http://home.ica.net/~phoenix/wap/nuvi/TAFL-Diff.txt I noticed some listings for Edmonton Indy Edmonton Indy and did a further search here - Search Canada's TAFL and found frequencies pertaining to the Indy and Nascar circuit.

Thought this might be something that folks in Edmonton might wanna search out.

Duplicate thread

I believe there is another thread with the same identical heading. And other threads discussing same subject. NARC usually posts information as well.

The usual, there will be lots of Edmonton Indy assigned frequencies between 440-450, and to not cause interference, IC did not assign any frequencies to EI on the local ham repeater frequencies. But if you are near the Muni and you scan the ham band you will probably hear stuff.

Also hot will be the 450-470 band. Usually I can find the frequencies used by the drivers at the Toronto Indy. I'll have to look for that. I like the Austrailan crew as they use a base station to talk to the driver.

Race Control is on 451.6875 today.
Fire on Working 12
EMS (AHS) on Update 5.

Search the forum archives from last year to get a feel for the frequencies used. Wil Power is the one with the base station and I see the frequencies are the same for 2012.

TSN will be broadcasting the event so the IFB frequencies from last year may be the same.
