Can anyone in Edmonton tell me approximately how far away from Edmonton you can still hear the Edmonton Public Safety radio system? Can it be heard from Spruce Grove, or Leduc, or other surrounding communities?

Can anyone in Edmonton tell me approximately how far away from Edmonton you can still hear the Edmonton Public Safety radio system? Can it be heard from Spruce Grove, or Leduc, or other surrounding communities?

i can get Edmonton for the most part in Leduc. my bct15 get it 100% my bcd396d with the out of the box Antenna it is touch and go. I’m not share about the west but to the east the it is good out to tofild. At least this time last year as EPS was in a Pursuit with a car out that way

Edmonton EMS take customers to Leduc ER as will as Edmonton city police come to Leduc for many reasons so both need radio contact

For sure 20 Kilometers East, South, West, north west not that good with a handheld. South seems to be the best.
Have heard ambulance units checking in at Wetasikkwin hosptial many times.

In car with mag mount antenna. South EW correction line, Westsikwin rest stop. West Duffield, East Elk Island west boudary
North 10 kilos north of St Alberta. Northwest Scottford.

I have run into a few dead spots in the hills around Onoway.
