Hello everyone.

I am not sure where to post this question but I am currently planning a road trip to USA , going down through Vegas then to Southern California .

My question is , I would like to monitor trucker and road traffic frequencies and I'm not sure if the majority of Americans use vhf or CB. I don't mind investing in a cheap/simple CB radio setup or just using my scanner for monitoring vhf (LADD channels).

So which one is more in use on American highways , CB or VHF ?

Thanks

many here have said they think their radio has a problem because they don't hear anyone, and no one answers their calls.
if you have a scanner that gets CB i would use that and not spend anything on a CB.
did you get the 325 radio ?

The LADD channels are various public safety, business and government frequencies here.
Occasionally I have heard what sounded like Canadian truckers hauling oversized loads using them here illegally.
