Hello all, new to the forum. In an attempt to step up my game a bit over HT's I picked up a EF Johnson 9800 Series UHF mobile, 40 watt model. Unfortunately it did not come with a power cord. The radio has a white two post connector in the back but is not marked + or -. Does anyone know which post (top or bottom) is the positive post. The connectors are easy enough to make up but no point damaging things before I even get started.

I checked the users manual and the service manual. Even the schematic does not show which post is which. Thanks in advance for any guidance. I look to learning much from this site.

That is it Shawn! I am trying to tell which way is up without the factory connector. I have the wire, I have the single connectors (pos/neg) and am looking to make the power cable myself. Unfortunately the radio was a surplus deal and that wire kit does not come with it.
