EL PASO COUNTY - A 28-year-old man is dead and suspect has been arrested after a shooting near Fort Carson.

Early reports say the suspect is the man's sister.

Deputies were called to the 8100 block of Piute Road shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday night to a report of a man shot in the chest. Attempts at reviving the man through CPR failed, and the man died shortly after the shooting.

Law enforcement was able to capture the suspect, who was driving a white Mazda vehicle at another location.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Authorities say a 28-year-old Security woman has been arrested in the death of her sister's boyfriend.

Lt. Lari Sevene of the El Paso County sheriff's office said Denise Preston is accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Victor San Miguel on Thursday night during a fight outside his mobile home near Fort Carson.
