Elbow Valley FD

I have been out of the loop for the last while while working up North, but noticed the RMES twitter account mentions Elbow Valley FD every once and a while. Would anyone around Calgary happen to know what system the EVFD is on? I was looking through both CDR & Rockyview database with no luck, but I have been known to miss things.

I'm assuming that there tied into the CDR system somehow like Springbank (Station 71 on C16 Rural) or possibly piggybacking off Cochrane or RMES conventional system. If someone could clarify whats going on it would be much appreciated.

Yes, they are on C16 similar to all other Rocky View County (MD of Rocky View) units.

Called Engine 74 and stationed out of Calgary Fire Hall #33.

As Mr. Velvet says, Elbow Valley is a Rockyview station/unit.

For what it's worth, Cochrane has moved onto the C16 channel as well via a UHF permanent patch. There are two repeaters on the UHF side - one in Cochrane and one in Redwood Meadows. All C16 traffic is broadcast on these freqs 24/7.
