does anyone know if using the codes will stop the interferance from happening. I live in an area full of them and get a lot of false signals when I go by them.
thanks

What does electric fence interferance sound like? I figured probably similar to a lightning strike??

buzz 5 seconds buzz 5 seconds buzz, pretty easy to ID once you hear it, it can be quite annoying, my neighbor had one on his dog pen, beings he is a radio guy also, I told him to turn the darn thing off, i mean the dogs are in a 6' tall pen with a chain link "roof" and a concrete floor, the dogs aren't going to get out of there anyway. Try your tones/codes and see what happens can't hurt.
Oh by the way the only way an electric fence will cause rfi is because of a lack of maintenance, or improper installation, when it is dry out and the weeds aren't touching the fence, you shouldn't hear any rfi.
