Hello! Can someone help me out with getting all of the Elgin Fire Department frequencies and Talk Group numbers? I was feeding fine, then tried to make a change in LED function, now I'm not able to receive anything. The scanner seems to be visibly acting nothing, but no reception that I can hear!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Mike

I noticed that Fire Dispatch is P2. Hopefully you are using a radio that will receive Phase II systems. If not, that might be why you are not hearing them any longer.

There is your answer. I'm looking at my SDS200 right now. 1551 is active showing P25P2. The PSR-500 is not capable of receiving Phase 2. That's why you aren't picking them up.

A 996P2 would also work for you in that area but knowing that there is greater simulcast problems in Cook and Dupage, it might be better to try to go with the SDS series if you can afford to.

I concur at the moment. They must have some users with older radios affiliating on the TG forcing it to phase 1 from time to time. It was P2 during the many times I was monitoring yesterday.

The change to Phase 2 on Elgin FD Dispatch just happened recently. If the 500 is Phane 1 only possible replacements are Uniden 996P2, 325P2 and Whistler WS 1080 and it's cousin GRE PSR 800.

You use the 325P2 correct? When a talk group is being received the display will show P25 for Phase 1 systems and PTx (0 or 1) for a Phase 2 system and what slot is being used. The T refers to TDMA.

It has to be receiving a talk group. You need to have the proper screen view turned on to see that. It's all in the manual.

PTO for Phase 1 P25 for Phase 2, what does DAT and LNK mean?
Also, Does "T" mean Phase 1 and "D" mean Phase 2 in the db?
