Elgin did re-band earlier in the year. You will need a scanner that is capable of handling the re-banded frequencies. Not sure if the '96 can handle rebanding.

I believe the Pro-96 will not trunk Starcom on the 700 mhz frequencies.

I believe you can go 'old school' with scanning conventionally with the trunking frequencies in the 700 Mhz range. I do not have a '96 so I can't confirm that. Let us know if it works!

You can only reband the PRO96 using Don Starr 's WIN96 software to enter the tables that are listed on this web site in the RS section, u reband only the bank the system is in...U must choose "custom Extended Tables"....U do not reband any Starcom systems just enter the CC's...U can also check off in the Win96 software "extended freqys" which will extend the limits for 700mgz to be programmed in the scanner, will not trunk it and will be with all the traffic on there impossible to keep up with transmissions plus the sensativity is worse as its really out of the scanners bands....

NWCD also must be rebanded using WIN96 or it will not trunk properly using the "Custom Extended Tables as also Elgin ....Elgin has signed a contract with Motorola to move to the ILL-Starcom in the near future,......

Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates not rebanded so its listening as usual....If your close enough to the towers-T101-Lisle u could hear the 700 but there are alot of freqys so u need a new 700/800mgz digital scanner....
