Elizabeth just had a working basement fire on South Broad Street. Cause was originally determined to be an overheated furnace having ignited near-by cardboard. As overhaul operatons were about to begin however FFs discovered a broken natural gas line, and signs that additional debris in the basement near the broken gas line had been attempted to be ignited in a manner not consistent with the fire.

Deputy Chief has placed the event under control, and begun releasing companies. All remaining companies have been ordered to do no non-urgent overhaul near the discovery, and remain away from that area. Elizabeth PD is currently in the building being shown the suspicious evidence, and 901-Arson has been called to respond forthwith.
