Not hearing any activity (control channel data) on the freqs listed in the database. Anyone know whats up?

There are two sets of frequencies listed.

One shows that the system has been rebanded and lists some frequencies. The others actually listed in the DB are not the same as the rebanded.

I believe they ramped their power down big time. I noticed this happened for Ceres and Turlock systems at the time of rebanding or soon afterward.

I can't even pick up EGUSD from home standing on the roof with a handheld.

Well, they must have lowered it below 1 watt because I cant even hear it in Elk Grove.

Same here. I tried to listen after I saw these posts and didn't hear anything. I was at Franklin/Dwight at the Regional Sanitation plant at the time.

i run from the west end of EG to the east end everyday.. however i have a 246T and cant pick it up, but if there is anything i can do to help you guys out, let me know.

Those are the ones listed in the DB for the trunked system aren't they? Yes.

I know a certain someone who normally monitors this forum who has a family member who works for EGUSDPD, maybe they can ask if they are still using the same radios and report back?

its the same radios. i hear it everyday on the bus when a fam member gets picked up and dropped off.
ill ask a security guard tomorrow.

why are they issued HT1250's model 3's 800mhz. ?? seems like OVERKILL to have a radio that is capable of so much, yet only have 2 or 3 simplex freqs programmed, that are constantly used. (chans 1 and 2)

high schools are usually on chan 1, junior highs usually on chan 2. i never hear chan 3 operational.

We are not talking about the conventional freqs, we are talking about the trunked system. Two different things.

I got first hand info that the "new" trunked system is still in use and operational by the field units.
Their radio traffic is very light, however - the control channel "should" still be heard.
