Has anyone heard what changes there will be for OPD's TGID lineup when Omaha annexs Elkhorn? Presumably, there will be no change to the lineup and the Elkhorn area OPD officers will be on Channel 1 with the rest of UPB NW, but I thought someone might have actual information. Thanks!

Listen Friday thats when the change will take effect. Don't know what channel or call signs they will have. All of Elkhorn fire district is being taken over by OFD, even the rural area.

The dispatchers don't even know anything yet. They should know this week. Elkhorn may just stay on county (sheriff dispatch) for a while I don't see them going on northwest or southwest, too much radio traffic already. I can see OPD setting up Elkhorn as a new precinct. Maybe calling the Elkhorn precinct or just plain west.

I'll talk to my friend, a Douglas county dispatcher, later on this week and let you guys know.

Unit numbers for "Elkhorn" are Beat 101(South of Dodge St.) and Beat 102(North of Dodge St). They are dispatch on OPD Northwest. They can only respond to calls in "Elkhorn".

For Fire Medic 45 and Engine 45 are the only fire units in Elkhorn. OFD did pick up all of "Elkhorn's" fire district.
