I have been using the EM Wave EM-M11003 mobile antenna with NMO mount exclusively for scanning ALL BANDS, including low VHF, high VHF, UHF, 700-800 MHz connected to a Uniden BCD996T for the past 5 years or so. Okay, it's cut to transmit on the above 700-800 MHz, but it receives ALL bands extremely well, at least it does for me in the metro Chicago area. I primarily listen to Starcom21, but also monitor several VHF and UHF systems. I programmed in a few low VHF channels, and it does as well as any other mobile antenna I've used in the past. EM Wave sells their products through distributors and dealers, but I believe Wiscomm can order it, as I don't see it on his normal in-stock inventory. I could be wrong, so please check with Craig or one of the other associates.
I've had it connected in two different vehicles, both using permanent NMO mounts, and it hasn't failed me yet. Also, it is rugged, and does just fine as I take my vehicle through commercial car washes on a regular basis.
