Does anyone know what the EMD/MPDS Dispatch card number is for a building fire with no victims inside? All I can find is an automatic alarm and building fire with people inside. Is there one for working fire with no one inside? Is that up to the individual department? What is the usual priority for EMS (I ask because I don't have my dispatch info in front of me and won't have it for a while) (eg 7D2 or something like that)

any help is appreciated!!

Looks like 7D2 is an unconscious burn patient. A 69E2 fire with person trapped. A 69D_ is a fire with no one trapped. The blank space would be filled in with what type of building it is. That is what I have, but every service might be different.

It's my interpretation (as a daily user of EMD) that in agencies that don't use EFD (i.e. EMS-only agencies), 07__f (fill in the blanks with the appropriate bits based on criteria) is appropriate for an EMS unit response to a fire.

Awesome, thanks. and thanks everyone.

I looked into a little more and, like Jay911 said, it was different since my EMS service is seperate from FD. Although, for the job type there was no EMD card number. I guess whoever put it in just put it as STANDBYM (for a medical standby).

We do put ALS on all our working fire standbys so I'd assume its a C or D "level" card, if they had selected a card. It looks like it was either dispatcher preference or local procedure.
