Been curious about these things all my life. Not joking.
I've lived in Omaha long enough to know that at some point they upgraded from the old yellow "banana horns" to much newer sirens that look a bit like a head of cauliflower - the T-135 AC/DC (or very similar), produced by American Signal Corporation and part of the Tempest Siren Series.
Radioreference lists the frequency as having a tone of 411 DPL, my question is did they go digital or just changed from PL (CTCSS) to DPL (DCS) and still are running plain old analog signals?
I keep missing capturing the signal with my trusty RTLSDR dongle because tests are only done the first of the month and right in the middle of my workday.
