I am wanting to make a bank in my scanner for emergencies. Would you give me some frequencies or types of frequencies that I could put in this bank? When I say emergency, I mean severe weather, disaster, etc. Thanks

I would also add FRS, GMRS and your local HAM repeater freqs.
If all hell breaks loose people will be using these freqs to get and maintain assistance of various sorts.
You will already have the public service freqs in your scanner.
You may want to add the Power/Water/Gas/Telephone companies.
FEMA, FAA, NHTSA and if you live near the water the Coast Guard Freqs
Army and Air National guard freqs
Red Cross
I hope this gives you some ideas. I know it is alot but perhaps you can figure out what may be the most important or if you have a scanner with virtual banks or computer uploadable you can have all of the ready to load.
