Ok,

So this isn't LATIE, LOL! I've seen on Discovery "Health", the medical helicopters that fly in critically
injured patients.

I listen to a LOT of EMS (Shreveport Fire and Caddo Fire Dist) units making 'runs' to the various
hospitals within Shreveport/Bossier. Now, not two blocks to my West/South/West, is LSU Medical's
Trauma Heliport. "Life-Air" has a Talkgroup on the Caddo Comm Dist. # 1's 800 mhz trunked set-up.

From time-to-time, I hear a Huey(No comment as to how LOUD it is at some distance) that lands over
at LSU. I'm wondering if there are any of the Ark-La-Tex commercial EMS companies that employ
aero. vhf, uhf helicopter or "business" (and the Army Huey's) frequencies?

Respectfully,

Very "Cool", LOL!

Lifenet
Texarkana used to once in a while
Hen i had a helocraft 154 com grade antenna ohh boy i could hear it all

but life net air (155.205) was good at going to Willis knight and lsu and then the Texarkana hospitals

Thanks, Gentlemen. ;-)

It's been some years ago, but when LSU had the landing pad to the East and in back, the
"choppers" must have had Viet Nam vet pilots, LOL! They came in "hot & heavy", as you
would expect, BUT, when they came over my house at or near tree-top level, then changed
the pitch of the rotor (at 2am), that sudden "change" made enough noise to wake the dead
and would cause me to bail of of bed on to the floor (ouchie!). During the day, I swear I
could see the 'prop wash' really bend small tree limbs.

NOW, when they come in, it's usually much farther West and closer to the I-20 corridor.
There are some tall, pin oak trees that have grown over the years and prevent me from
getting a good look when they come in.

I haven't seen the W/K "bird" or the one Schumpert used to fly. I don't know if they even
do fly any more, because of the cost and upkeep.

HOPEFULLY, we're going to have some warmer wx this weekend, which give rise to the
possibility of my putting the F-150's antenna arrays back on and tightening up the "rack".

My 15 year old grandson, William, has taken an interest in radio scanning, so he my 'inherit'
the F-150, when I'm no longer able to drive.

Blessings,
