While looking through the frequencies for the counties near me (specifically Berks and Montgomery), I've noticed the title H.E.A.R. under the EMS categories. I'm guessing this is for ER notification, since that's how one of the frequencies was listed on another site. Anyone?

Hospital Emergency Ambulance Radio

Thats the most common defination, but yes, typically an ambulance to ER radio for a patient report for incoming ambulances.

155.34 is the most common freq used.

Hospital Emergency and Administrative Radio.

Often called Hospital Emergency Ambulance Radio, or Hospital Emergency Alert Radio

I think it was 4 (maybe only 2) channels defined in the old Emergency Medical Services radio service.

The formal definition seems to have been made obsolete when everything was rolled into the new Public Safety Frequency Pool.
